Anzac Day Service

Sir, —In Saturday’s edition of the Herald there is a view of the Soldiers’ Memorial taken on the occasion of the Anzac Day service. I was surprised to see two men in uniform standing at rest on arms reversed.. This was quite wrong. These men should not have been there at all. This is a ceremony carried out only at a lying in state of Royalty or some high ranking official, and .of course the ibody is present. It is never done at a monument of stone, even if it is a memorial to our fallen soldiers. It is certainly not done in the Old Country.—Yours, etc., . EX-SERVICEMAN.
