Birthday Party A jolly, informal- children’s party was given by Mrs. A. F. Excell at her home in Iranui road on Saturday afternoon in celebration of the ninth birthday of her daughter, Barbara, the guests being a few of the latter’s friends and two boys as companions for her brother John. The children played in the garden until they were called in to tea, which was served at a table attractively decorated with orange marigolds and streamers to match, the birthday cake placed amongst other tempting fare also being decorated in orange tonings. Balloons and fancy caps were distributed among the young guests.
