SLIT SILK STOCKING
NEW YORK, March 5. Frederick Scarborough had an idea for preventing silk stockings from splitting at the knee.- He has now patented a stocking with a vertical slit over the knee. He says that this stops th< tugging when the khee Is bent, prevents splitting and laddering.
