PLANS FOR CONTROL AUSTRALIA’S PART ('(INFERENCE AWAITED (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. March 31, 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, March 31. The Federal Minister of Defence, Mr. H. V. C. Thorby, announces that the Qantas Airways authorities have been asked to represent Australian interests in a joint operating company controlling the air mail service between Australia and New Zealand. Mr. Thorby expects British, Australian and New Zealand Government representatives to meet in conference in Sydney at an early date.
