MORNING PAPER CEASES
CHANGE IN MASTERTON MERGER ARRANGED (Per Press Association.) MASTERTON, last night. Two newspapers long established in Masterton, the Wairarapa Daily Times and the Wairarapa Age, having amalgamated. will publish their final Issues to-morrow. They are combining to bring out the Wairarapa Times-Age, a enlarged evening daily, which makes its first appearance on Friday. The Daily Times, the pioneer daily newspaper in the Wairarapa, was established in November, 1978. The Wairarapa Star, which became the Age when it was converted into a morning paper 26 years ago, was established in 1881.
