WAIROA INQUESTS

2 DEATHS INVESTIGATED NATURAE CAUSES (Herald Correspondent.) An inquest was held in Wairoa on Tuesday touching the death of Edna Clark, aged 15 months, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rangi Clark, Erepeti, Waikaremoana. The medical evidence was that death was due to natural causes, probably an attack of recurrent bronchitis. A verdict in accordance with this opinion was given. An inquest was held also into the death ol Mere Mihare, wife of Peter Mihare, which occurred on Sunday. II was stated that the deceased was 40 years of age, and had always had a lump on her forehead. She had been in ill-health for the past, six years, and the lump on her loicheud often became swollen. She had not seen a doctor, for she was afraid of an operation. The coroner’s verdict was that death was due to natural causes precipitated by the development of a growth on the forehead.
