THE ANNUAL MEETING (Herald Correspondent.) There was a large attendance at the annual meeting oi the Opoho Collie Club, held in me office of the Nuhaka Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, on Tuesday night, the retiring president, Mr. J. W. Powdrell, being in me chair. . The honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. Go Ids tone, did not again seek office, and Mr. Powdrell indicated that he, too, did not seek re-election. A credit balance of £li> 17s 7d was shown in the statement of accounts for the year. Officers were elected as follows: Patron Mr. T. W. G. Tombleson; president, Mr. A. Hickling; vicepresidents, Messrs. K. Stewait, H. rlavly and J. Goldstone; lion, secretary and treasurer, Mr. G. Taylor; assistant secretary, Mr. J. Bowen; committee, Messrs. P. Solomon, W. White, A Reid, K. Agnew, W. Taylor, J. McRae, D. Jobson, J. Powdrell and S. A. Dickie; lion, auditor, Mr. R. Mclntyre, jun.; delegate to the Hawke’s Bay centre, Mr. Hickling. It was decided to take steps to have the club incorporated. Mr. D. Glynan was thanked for the offer of a cup for Class I at the next trials.
