MODERATE DECLINE
LONDON WOOL PRICES GOOD CLEARANCE MADE (Reed. March 16, 3 p.m.) LONDON, March 15. At the wool sales, which opened today, prices were from par to 5 per cent lower all round. A total of 9436 bales was offered, including 4356 from New Zealand, and 8511 were sold.
There was a good selection, though scoureds were poorly represented, and there was a keen general demand at rather lower levels. A good clearance was effected, with the home trade and the Continent the chief buyers.
