BELOW EXPECTATIONS
MATAWHERO CATTLE FAIR SECOND DAY’S VALUES The Poverty Bay Stockbrokers’ Association’s Cattle Fair was continued at the Matawhero saleyards to-day, uie attendance being much smaller than usual and the sale below expectations. There was some activity on the part of'Bay of Plenty and Wairoa buyers, and although values were below many of the reserves there was competition on all lines. The offering comprised IA-year steers, and some of the highest priced pens contained some two-year-olds. The top price of £7 Is was paid for a pen with great prime, size and killable • condition.
