ONE APPEAL SUCCEEDS
RACING CLUB PENALTIES SUSPENSION OF .JOCKEY (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. An appeal of the jockey, E. H. Clifford, against the decision of the judicial ’committee of the Franklin Racing Club in suspending him for two months on March 5 was upheld last evening by the Auckland district committee.
It was resolved that the inquiry held by the Franklin Racing Club was not conducted in accordance will) the requirements of rule 223, of the rules of racing, and that the appeal be upheld and the deposit of £5 be refunded to the appellant. An appeal lodged by the jockey, R. Horne, against his suspension for two months by the judicial committee of the Franklin Racing Club was dismissed and the deposit lodged witli the appeal was forfeited.
