RU M OURS U NFOUN DE D

(Pur Pvoss Association.)

WELLINGTON, last night,

Answering an urgent question put by Mr. T. D. Burnett (Nat., Temuka) in the House of Representatives today, as to whether it was the intention of the Government to enter into the bakery business in New Zealand, the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, stated that the Government had no intention of purchasing or establishing State bakeries in the Dominion. He added that he was glad he had given him the opportunity of contradicting rumours which had been started by irresponsible persons for political purposes.
