TWO WHITE LAMBS
GIVEN TO POPE VATICAN CITY, Jan. 22. Two snowy white lambs, nestling in straw baskets and adorned with pale blue ribbons, were presented to Pope Pius XI yesterday in observance of the eFast Day of St. Agnes. Before the presentation the lambs were blessed in a quaint ceremony at tintomb of the Roman Virgin of St Agnes. The lambs will be cared Tor by nuns of the monastery of Saint. Cecilia until Holy Wednesday at Easter time when they will be shorn. The 'wool will be made into sacred “pallums" which the Pontiff will present to newly-created patriarchs, archbishops and bishops. * ‘
