GAO I j FOli !■: M 1 >EZZ I, K.A 111 XT BERLIN. March 8. On the charge of embezzling 1 Nobel Prize money, the former cavalry olticer and lawyer, Kurt Wanow, was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment, with a fine of 8000 marks and three years’ loss of civic rights.
Wanow was charged with embezzling ,£OOOO of Herr Ossietsky's Nobel Prize. Wanow admitted that he handed over £IOOO to his 10-year-old sweetheart to invest in a cinema.
