COUNTRY PARTY POLICY ADDRESS BY LEADER (Reed. March 14, 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, March 14. Mr. M. F. Bruxner, leader of the State Country Party, in a policy speech in connection with the forthcoming elections, dealt mainly with subjects of interest to farmers. He referred to the resumption of large estates, .a policy of pasture improvement to encourage the more extensive use of existing land, and a new deal for aborigines, it being the Government's intention to appoint a protector. Improved concessions would be granted to soldier settlers, and forest conservation and soil erosion formed a prominent part of the policy. Further, irrigation works would be undertaken and encouragement given to the establishment of secondary industries in rural towns.
