LODGE AFFAIRS

JUVENILE KUCHA BITES The Gisborne juvenile Rechabites met for their fortnightly meeting on Tuesday evening in the Selwyn Hall, Bio. Bob Pollock, C.R., presiding over a large attendance of members. Four candidates present for initiation were admitted into the order.

The principal business was completing the arrangements for the swimming carnival to be held in the High School baths next Monday evening. Bro. W. Pritchard, who is in charge of the programme, received many entries.

The entertainment portion of the evening was in charge of the officers, and a short programme of musical and elocutionary items was enjoyed. Members were sorry to learn of the death in Australia of Sister Elliott's mother. The secretary was instructed to write to Sister Elliott forwarding the sympathy of the tent.

At the conclusion of the meeting a short dance was held.
