The central committee organising Cor the National Party in the Waikato electorate has carried out extensive work, and now the full complement of 28 branches has been attained. It had been decided that the candidate should not be selected until 2000 financial members had been secured in the electorate. Waikato is now approaching 2500, and it is desired to have a candidate in the field as soon as possible. Branches are engaged in appointing their representatives to the selection committee, which will make the final choice.
