HIGHER VALUES RULE A short yarding of both ewe hnd wether mutton was sold readily at values higher than last week at t*<? Frankton stock sale on Tuesday. Fat ewes in particular, showed a notable increase, while fat lambs maintained late rates.
The beef entry included a fuJi yarding of ox beef and several pens ft well-finished cattle. Competition was keen, values showing a slignt improvement on last week's quotations. Cow and heifer beef was penned in full numbers, with prices also firmer. A .consignment of heavy prize steers from Mr. H. Vickers realised up V £l4, while medium prime steers offered sold up to £l3 ss.
