Mr. McCormack, has cabled to the authorities in New Zealand asking for instructions in connection with the refusal of the cyclists to sign a bond not to turn professional. The cyclists’ first race is scheduled for Tuesday night. Discussing the New Zealanders’ prospects at the Games, Mr. McCormack said: “The team on the whole is well. We are looking forward to obtaining a moderate amount of success and also gaining valuable experience.”
