“BOY” IN PANTOMIME

LONDON, Dec. 1G

Eighleen-year-olc! Veronica Carpenter, daughter of the Dean of Exeter, is to make her professional debut at the Theatre Royal, Exeter — as a pantomime artist. She will wear green tights.

Miss Carpenter, who is to be presented at Court next year, has been billed as “second boy” in “Mother II übbard.”

“My father approves,” she says. “He thinks there is no reason why I shouldn't follow the career which appeals ( to me most. ... I have a song to sing in the pantomime—'So Rare.’ ”
