MEMORANDA
Residents of Muriwai are reminded that Mr. D. W. Coleman, M.P., is to give a pre-sessional address at 8 p.m. on Monday. The clerk of the Cook County Council, by advertisement, calls attention to the fact that 10 per cent additional will be added to rates outstanding and unpaid at the close of business on Friday, February 11, 1938. I-Ie wishes all Cook County ratepayers to note the date carefully so that there will be no confusion between February 11 and the dates advertised by other local bodies. Mr. S. G. Holland, M.P., for Christchurch North, is speaking in Napier to-night and will deliver a public address in Gisborne on Monday night at the City Hall. Increasing interest is being exhibited in the policy of the National Party, and the willingness of leading Parliamentary members of the party to speak far beyond their electorates shows their enthusiasm for the cause. The possibility of an early election is another factor in rousing the interest of electors, who are taking the opportunity throughout the country of acquainting themselves with the political outlook at the moment.
