A permanent memorial to the Coronation celebrations of last May is now beginning to take shape in Cathedral Square, Christchurch. Workmen have been busy for the last week making the concrete foundations and putting in the metal bases for ornamental standard lamps round the cathedral site. The work is to cost between £BOO and £IOOO.
