PALMERSTON N., this day. <: The Hawke Cup match was resumed this morning, Manawatu losing two w|ckets in the first hour and the score then being three for 138, making the holders 380 runs ahead of Taranaki with seven wickets in hand. -At noon the score was five wickets down for 215 runs, Gallichan having made 82 and McVicar being 8G not out. Manawatu declared at the luncheon adjournment with 275 runs for eight wickets down, McVicar baittg 115 not out. Taranaki have been left the impossible task, of making 517 this afternoon to equal Manawatu’s score.
