Requests made in the House of Representatives for an open inquiry into the recent series of accidents to Royal Australian Air Force Hawker Demon aeroplanes were refused by the Government. The Minister of Defence said that the Government considered the Hawker Demons to be airworthy and did not propose to impose a ban on their use.
