The Southland Swimming Centre decided last night to nominate Miss Joyce MacDonald as a member of the Empire Games team. Miss MacDonald, who is 15 years old, is the present holder of all the Southland intermediate girls' free-style and backstroke titles, and holds the New Zealand intermediate girls' backstroke record. She has been nominated for the women's backstroke.
