HANDICAP TOURNAMENT GOOD PROGRESS MADE (Herald Correspondent.) Good progress is being maintained in the Wairoa Tennis Club's handicap tournament. Play in the men's singles has been brought down to the finalists, who will play off on Saturday, and the final of the ladies' singles will be played during the week-end. The latest results are:— Men's Singles.—Semi-finals: Mclntvre (15) d. Boyes (20); R. Crarer (30) d. Reynolds (20), 61—59. Women's Singles.—Semi-finals: Miss Millar (20) d. Miss Symonds (10), 50—41. Men's Doubles.—Semi-final: R. Crarer and Reynolds (5) d. Smith and Chamberlain (8), 50—47. Draw For Week-end The following matches must be completed by Sunday:— Men's Singles.—Final: Mclntyre (15) v. R. Crarer (30). Women's Singles.—Semi-final: Miss Chapman (10) v. Miss Morgan (10). Final: Miss Millar (20) v. winner of above match. Men's Doubles. —Semi-final: Trewby and McDonald (scr.) v. winner of Pattison and Young (5) and N. Russell and Sweetman (5) match. Mixed Doubles. —Third Round: Mrs. Smith and Smith (17) v. Miss Harvey and J. Crarer (25); Miss N. Taylor and Chamberlain (5); Miss N. Taylor and Chamberlain (5) v. Miss Chapman and A. Young (scr.); Miss Gilkison and Bannister (5) v. Mrs. Petchell and A. Russell (12): Miss Millar and Hinckesman (7) v. Miss Symonds and Millar (5). Women's Doubles. —Semi-finals: Mrs Chamberlain and Miss Millar (25) v.
