MILLS STILL IDLE
DISPUTE AT ONEHUNGA GRIEVANCE OF UNION (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. The Onehunga woollen mills are still idle. No move has been made 1o open negotiations. "Unless an early opportunity is provided for the consideration of the points at issue the employees' union will have no other option than to hand the dispute over to the Federation of Labour," was a statement made by the union secretary, Mr. T. Long, to-day in outlining the grievances which had been forwarded to the company on behalf of the workers.
The complaints concern the conditions of work at the blanket and tweed looms, ventilation in the building, inadequate washing and cloak room accommodation and first aid equipment.
