REPETITION OF DENIALS
RUMOURS OF ROMANCE ROYALTY FROM BELGIUM GIRL OF ENGLISH PEERAGE (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Heed. Dec. 8, 3 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 7. As a sequel to the current rumours of possible announcements of the engagement of King Leopold of Belgium, or his brother, Prince Charles, to a member of the English peerage, the solicitors of the Duke of Portland have sent a letter to The Times giving a "complete and unqualified denial to every suggestion in certain newspapers in ' connection with the visit of the King of the Belgians to Welbeck Abbey." The Marchioness of Titchfield denies the reports linking the name of Lady Anne Cavendish-Bentinck with Prince Charles of Belgium. She said: "The Prince is not visiting Welbeck Abbey. I have never seen him in my life."
