ATTACKED AND GAGGED
GIRL SUFFERS INJURIES Injuries to the face and head were received by a 15-year-old girl in « struggle with a man at the gate of her home at Turiwiri on Saturday evening. The girl had returned home in a service car after spending the evening in Dargaville, and after alighting it is stated that she was knocked down and gagged, her assailant then attempting to commit a serious offence.
In the Dargaville Magistrate's Court, Moses Tito, aged 20, a Maori, of Dargaville, appeared before Mr. B. Berry, J.P., charged with having attempted to commit a serious crime. He was remanded until next week.
