LIE-DOWN STRIKERS

NEW YORK CAFETERIA PICKETS BLOCK ENTRANCE (Elec. Tel. Copyright—Unitod Press Assn.) NEW YORK, Nov. 11. The “lie-down” strike has superseded the "sit-down” strike. Twenty-four pickets of a cafeteria in Seventh Avenue, in the heart of Manhattan, at lunch time to-day linked arms and lay down on their backs on the sidewalk, blocking the entrance. A large crowd gathered, stopping the traffic. The "lie-down” strikers refused to move, and kicked the police who lifted them and dumped them into patrol wagons.
