POSSIBLE N.Z. CREW QUESTION OF FINANCE

(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. The question whether New Zealand representative crews should be sent away to the forthcoming Empire Games at Sydney next February still depends on whether sufficient funds are forthcoming.

At a meeting of the New Zealand Rowing Association to-day it was stated that the council was prepared to find some of the funds provided the various provincial associations found the rest. All the associations had been circularised asking how much they could guarantee. When, in three weeks the last of their answers came to hand, the council would consider what action to take. The council at present could give £IOO.
