JOINING AIR SERVICE

Cl I SHORN E T R AINEES Four Gisborneites have been called up to join the New Zealand air service. They are Messrs. Stewart W. Bruce, Robert Charles, J. H. Langridge and A. B. Stichbury. They have been instructed to report at Trentham at 9 a.m. on Wednesday next. These recruits have been selected out of a large number of applicants. It is understood that about 135 young men from different parts of the Dominion will assemble at Trentham to undergo a course of recruit training for three months and later they will be posted to the different air bases.
