HOURLY RATES OF PAY In no case has a settlement been effected by conciliation councils Jn Auckland on the question of hourly rates of pay in industrial disputes referred back by the Arbitration Court in view of the fixing of standard rates for casual workers. In the past week disputes brought by quarry and scoria pit workers, switchboard operators, coach workers, fellmongers, soap, starch and candle workers, tilers other than roof, tilers and builders and contractors’ general labourers, were sent back again to the court with the major claims unsettled.
