WON ALL GRADES

BASKETBALL AWARDS ST. MARY'S CLUB RECORD An outstanding record was established during the basketball season just closed, by teams representing St. Mary's Basketball Club, the premier awards in all three grades of the Poverty Bay association's competitions falling to this club. In the A grade competition, St. Mary's won 13 of its 14 games, the one loss being to Tui club. In all, 220 goals were scored for St. Mary's, and 106 goals were scored against the winners of the competition, whose tally of competition points was 26 for the season.

The B grade competition gave St. Mary's 15 wins out of 18 games, one match being lost and two drawn, the competition points scored by the team being 32. Goals scored for St. Mary's in this division totalled 135, while only 32 were scored against the team. Winning 10 games out of 10 played, St. Mary's were again successful in the C grade competition, registering 20 points and scoring a total of 10(J goals, 56 being scored against the team.
