Miss Hilda Morse, formerly of Gisborne, and now controller of all women’s and morning programmes of 2UW, Sydney, arrived at Wellington by the Awatea yesterday morning for a three weeks’ holiday in New Zealand. Miss Morse is a daughter of Mr. Cuth Morse, who is now residing in Auckland. Yesterday's plane from Gisborne carried a full load of passengers to Napier who were on route to the annual conference of the New Zealand Baptist Union, which will be officially opened in Christchurch tomorrow. The Gisborne delegates comprise Mr. and Mrs. T. E. ToneyclifTe, Mrs. Charles Goldsmith, Miss Harries, Mr, Colin Goldsmith, and the Rev. E. W. Batts. Much local interest attaches to the ordination service, which will be held on Friday, when three outgoing students from the Baptist College will be ordained, Mr. Rex Goldsmith, Gisborne, and Messrs. S. Wvness and F. Riddell.
