Canon C. Mortimer Jones, Hastings, is a passenger by the Rangitiki, due at Auckland from London on October 20.
Mrs. Denzi! Barker, Gisborne, is visiting her mother, Mrs. Sydney Thorne George, of Remucra road, Auckland.
Mr. Ken Alexander, Wellington, hasbeen appointed manager of Gordon and Gotch (N.Z.) Advertising, Limited. Mr. Alexander is well known as an illustrator and cartoonist.
Mr. G. E. Luttrell, Wellington, is to be nominated as resident delegate to the New Zealand Cricket Council from the Poverty Bay Cricket Association.
After attending the recent plenary council of the Roman Catholic hierarchy of Australia and New Zealand at Sydney, Archbishop O’Shea returned to Wellington by the Awatea yesterday.
Messrs. G. K. Pasley, L. G. Meredith and W. Oakden will be visitors to Napier this week for the annual Anglican synod of the Waiapu diocese, Anglican synod of the Waiapu diocese. Messrs. Pasley and Meredith leave to-morrow and Mr. Oakden at a later date.
