KNOX SUNDAY SCHOOL

ANNIVERSARY SERVICES LARGE ATTENDANCES Good attendances of adults and children were present at the Sunday School anniversary services held in Knox Presbyterian Church, Mangapapa, yesterday. Services were held in the morning, afternoon and evening, when special addresses were given by the Rev. J. W. Martin, Pastor Usmar. and Major Taylor. In the morning a duet was given by Graham and John Wallen, who repeated their number in the afternoon, when the intermediate girls sang “Golden Keys.” Each of the girls also gave a scripture reading, and Mary King recited. A duet in the evening was given by Misses Skillen and Grr, a solo by Miss Nancy Caie and a recitation by Evan Nelson. The children’s choir also assisted with part and unisonal singing. Scripture readings at the various services were given by Keith Nelson, Gordon Walker and Edith Clark. Much credit for the success of the efforts was due to the Sunday School superintendent, Mr. J. B. Waugh, who coached the children in the singing and acted as conductor. The pianist was Miss Molly Skillen, and Mr. A. Currie played the organ for the congregational hymns.
