EX-SERVICEMEN
BRANCH ON NIAGARA (Special to the Herald.) AUCKLAND, this day. Through the interest shown by members of the crew there is now on board the Niagara, which arrived at Auckland from Sydney, a sub-branch of the Returned Sailors and Soldiers' Imperial League of Australia. It is the dhly floating and foreigngoing sub-branch of its kind and already has 20 members. Another 20 of the crew are also ex-servicemen, and it is expected they will also join up with the sub-branch. As its first official action as a unit, the sub-branch is shortly to place a wreath on the cenotaph erected on Waikiki Beach, Hawaii, in memory of British servicemen who lost their lives while serving with the American forces during the Great War. The wreath will be obtained when the Niagara next goes to Sydney and will be placed on the cenotaph when she goes north.
