RALEIGH CLUB IMPRESSED
FLUENCY OF MR. NASH ANSWERS TO CRITICISM ADDRESSES AT OXFORD (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. "Oxford was somewhat surprised at the effective barrage of facts and figures which the New Zealand Minister of Finance and Marketing, the Hon. W. Nash, used to demolish opposing arguments," said Mr. lan Milner, the New Zealand Rhodes scholar, who returned to-day, in referring to an address given by Mr. Nash to the Raleigh Club, one of the most intellectual of Oxford societies. "Opinions freely expressed afterwards were that the club had rarely heard a more persuasive or more fluent speaker," said Mr. Milner. "Members of the club were especially impressed by Mr. Nash's ready command of the economics of his subject and his facility and confidence in replving to criticisms of his Government's policy. Mr. Nash also met the University Labour Club and was given an enthusiastic hearing."
