CHRISTCHURCH PREPARES TEST WITH SPRINGBOKS (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. To provide accommodation for 50,000 people to see the Springboks test on September 4, a further temporary stand to hold between 2000 and 2500 people is to be erected at Lancaster Park. The Canterbury Rugby Union is giving consideration to the question of providing for many people who will come from outside Christchurch to see the Test. Part of the seating in the temporary stand will be available for the SpringboksCanterbury match on August 21.
