STRENUOUS WRESTLING
EACH TAKES A FALL BLOMFIELD AND LITTLE WOLF (Per Press Association.) HASTINGS, last night. Honours were shared by “Lofty” Blomfield and Chief Little Wolf in their professional wrestling contest at the Municipal Theatre at Hastings tonight. The bout was strenuous and interesting, though not exciting. Blomfield gained the first fall in the sixth round with a body press, following a series of forearm jolts and three flying tackles. The falls were evened in the last round when Chief Little Wolf secured a death lock. In the second professional bout, Herb Brinson (Hastings) beat Frank Sykes (New Plymouth) by two falls to one after a good exhibition. Brinson secured the falls in the second and sixth rounds with a surf board and jack-knife respectively. Sykes obtained his fall in the fourth round with a Japanese toe and leg lock.
