YEAR’S LOSSES AT SEA
TOTAL 41 BRITISH SHIPS FEWEST SINCE AVAR (British Officinl Wireless.) RUGBY, Aug. 5. The figures issued by Lloyd’s Register of Shipping show that the number of British merchant ships lost last year was the smallest since the war, namely 41, with a total tonnage of 41,209. Only one of the leading maritime countries, namely Denmark, has a smaller percentage.
