The backs are the same as in the first test, but in the forwards K. M. Ramsay (N.S.W.), E. T. Bonis (Queensland), V. J. Birmingham (Queensland) are replaced by Malone, Stone, and Hodgson, leaving Wilson the only Queenslander in the team. T. Pauling was withdrawn owing to a knee injury. The Springbok forward Fanie Louw is unlikely to play in the test. It is expected that White and Craven will be omitted from the back line, which will then be: Villiers, Vyver, Ilofmeyr, Babrow, Turner, and Williams.

The weather at present is fine and mild, but it is not expected to hold out to-morrow. The ground is in splendid condition.

The greatest interest is being shown in the match, in which the Australians intend making a supreme effort to win. They intend to rely on speed, while the South Africans intend to play the Australians at their own game.

The referee will be Mr. A. L. Irving. The Springboks will sail on Saturday night for New Zealand.
