DISCOVERY IN MEXICO SPANISH LEGEND REVIVED FAB ULOUS LY - RICH MINE (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. July 17, noon) MEXICO CITY, July 16. Talks of a fabulously-rich lost gold mine worked by the Spanish conquistadors have been revived by a report that miners in the Chiriqui province have found 35 gold bars, each weighing 501b5., worth approximately £IBO,OOO, and also the Spanish colonial arms on crude gold-washing equipment.
The police are guarding the gold, pending a Government claim to ownership.
