JURY DISAGREES

ALLEGED CATTLE THEFT (Per Press Association.) BLENHEIM, this day. After a retirement of over four fours, the jury disagreed and the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, ordered a new trial of Leonard Alma Turner, a stock dealer, of Pelorus Valley, on a charge of the theft of three head of cattle. Although offered a new trial during the Nelson sessions next week, the accused elected to wait for four months till the next Blenheim sessions, bail being allowed in the sum of £IOO, and a surety for a similar amount.
