MARIST'S IMPROVEMENT

GOOD PACK LEADERS MORE AID FOR,THE BACKS Notes by "Sideline" Marist was a greatly improved team when they stepped out against H.S. 0.8. on the Oval on Saturday and they had the championship leaders thinking in the first spell. After the change-over the old students played a better combined game and took the decision. The Marist pack was working with more combination, being assisted greatly by E. O'Halloran, R. V. Lawless, and W. Ritchie. They gave the back line more protection and made it possible for the men in that department to make a better showing.

The contention that Marist is gradually coming back seems to be borne out by their performance.
