INCREASE OF CAPITAL

DONAGHY'S ROPE AND TWINE Proposals to increase the capital of the company by £28,000, and to increase the value of the fixed assets to the extent of £11,750, will be considered at an extraordinary meeting of shareholders of Donaghy's Rope and Twine Company, Limited, on August 9. The directors point out that if the resolutions embodying the changes are carried the earning power of the company will in no way be altered, and it is not to be inferred that the sum which for some years has been set aside annually for the payment of dividends will be increased. The company has a paid-up capital of £47,000. For the year ended March 31 the company earned a net profit of £5917, compared with £5707 earned in the previous year. Dividends of 10 per cent have been paid since 1925.!
