AIRPORT INQUIRY
RON GOTAI’S FUTURE EXHAUSTIVE INVESTIGATION ' (Pur Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Early action has been taken by the special committee of investigation set up by the Government to inquire into the future of Rongotal aerodrome. The committee held its initial meeting yesterday afternoon, and it is understood that as the result of its deliberations exhaustive inquiries will be made and very complete evidence taken.
Owing to the very extensive nature of the inquiries to be made, the data which has to be collected and the correlation of overseas statistics to New Zealand conditions, it is anticipated that the committee will be sitting at intervals during the next three months. During the next month the la*-ge staffs of the aerodrome services, Public Works Department, city council and air line companies will be engaged In the collection of statistical Information in connection with the inquiries both from overseas and internal sources.
It is anticipated that the next formal sitting, at which the taking of evidence will commence, will be held in approximately three weeks or a months' time.
