FATAL COLLISION

MOTOR AND PUSH CYCLES AI AX DIES. IN HOSPITAL Fatal injuries were received by Mr. George Bruce Bailey, aged 23, a mill hand at Ngongotaha, the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Bailey, of Manurewa, Auckland, as a result of a motor-cycle accident. Mr. Bailey collided with a bicycle ridden by a youth, Desmond Craig, also of Ngongotaha, on me Rotorua-Ngongotaha road.

Mr. Bailey was later admitted to the public hospital with a fractured skull, and succumbed to his injury on Tuesday morning. The cyclist, who suffered facial injuries and concussion, was also admitted to hospital and his condition was reported to be not serious.

The riders were travelling in the same direction when the accident occurred. Mr. Bailey was thrown to the roadway several yards ahead of the point of impact and was picked up seriously injured on the other side of the road.
