TOLALA TEAMS’ VISIT (11t*ra](i Covrospomlont.) Ideal weather prevailed on Saturday morning when a basketball team and a football team from the Tolaga Bay District High School travelled to Te Karaka to meet representatives of the Te Karaka District High School The basketball match, which was played on the school grounds, was controlled by Misses Sanders and Wells. A good, even game was witnessed, the final score being Te Karaka 16, Tolaga Bay 10. On the recreation ground the tootball teams gave a good exhibition, Moore and Nisbett (Te Karaka) and
Moore (Tolaga Bay) being outstanding players. Mr. 1,. J. Clarkson was referee for flic match, which resulted in a win for Te Karaka by 19 poinas to 14. The visitors were entertained at lunch by the home teams.
Mr. A. Manuel visited Palmerston North to attend the camp for members of flic Young Farmers’ Clubs. — Mr. and Mrs. R. M. King, who are on a holiday visit to Auckland, are expected to return this week. —Mrs. T. W. G. Tombleson, Nuhaka, is the guest of flic Misses Orr at “Paracroa.”—Mrs. W. I. Bruce, “Pukerua,” was a week-end visitor to Gisborne.
