GOVERNMENT’S ATTITUDE

President Roosevelt to-day issued a statement that the Federal Government will not oppose employees joining the Committee for Industrial Organisation, but will not participate in collective bargaining with it. The President stated that the Government would assume the same attitude to the American Federation of Labour and Government employees’ unions, and exclusive recognition would not be granted to either body.
